We are a team of 4 experienced open water Exmouth swimmers who are hoping to complete a crossing of the English channel this year in record breaking time. We are already training hard for this event and feel that on the right day the record of 8 hours and 41 minutes is within our sights. Our team is made up of Alan Franks, Gemma Franks, Jamie Page and Tara Dudley. Having had several solo crossings between us and numerous relay crossings we do not take the minimum of 21 miles lightly but are also excited by the challenge and the chance to give something back to our community. We are raising money for the local Beach Rescue club who support our local swims year in year out. Without their support a lot of our swims wouldn't take place. They also provide support and safety cover for Exmouth Beach voluntarily throughout the summer months which requires a high level of commitment to training and patrolling. We are hoping to buy them a brand new automated CPR manikin to help them train existing and new members in the life saving skill of CPR. You can follow our training and progress on our facebook page by following this link: https://www.facebook.com/channelrelay2015. Thank you.
