We are bringing the walled garden in Chantry Park back to life. This project, in partnership with Lapwing Suffolk, offers work experience and vocational courses to students with complex barriers to learning. There are also volunteering and work placement opportunities.

Chantry Walled Gardens have been there for a number of years, but have been abandoned. We are trying to build them back into their former glory with the help of volunteers and students. We have already put new greenhouses down, and are working on revamping the house on the grounds to be our HQ.

It would be great to see the walled garden become a secret haven in Chantry Park - to have schools and visitors look around the garden while we have a team of volunteers working away growing produce to sell, and flowers for the Chantry gardens.
