About

Two years ago I broke both my ankles and spent a lot of time recovering through a lot of determination and self belief. I am determined to do my bit to raise awareness about mental illness, as a person with a passion about mental health I was saddened to see more cutbacks in local communities for people with mental health issues Having a place to stay, having someone to talk to, having someone to listen is often so important. So I am taking up the challenege of asking my dodgy ankles to get round 23 miles of 3 big hills to help raise awareness and raise funds so people can have some where to have a cuppa, have a chat and feel supported and to feel valued. With all of the cutbacks in mental health provision it so sad that people who are at the most vulnerable end of the spectrum, suffer in silence help me (and my 2 dodgy ankles) to raise awareness and funds to help people with mental illness in our local area
