Well we did it!! A huge huge thank you to my training partners Emma, Helen and Jo without them I would never have made it!!! Thanks to everyone for sponsoring, I know it will make a huge difference for Vicky and the charity. I am overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity. Thank you xx Last year my 2 children Charlie who was 5 at the time and Isabelle who was 2 at the time lost their Dad to suicide. The day I told them their Daddy wasn’t coming back will forever haunt me, and I can only imagine what it must have been like for them . I was not equipped to guide my children through this devastation, and was desperatley trying to deal with my own emotions. If it had not been for a child hood friend who had been through this horrendous ordeal herself and Charlies headteacher at Sidemoor First School who recommended Touchstones I don’t know how I would have managed. Vicky guided me through the process of telling the children and making everything as open and honest as can possibly be. Suicide is such a taboo subject and I wanted my children to be able to talk about it openly and without concern. Vicky has also worked with Charlie at school doing activities that keep the memory of their Dad alive and making sure that he has someone to talk to about his feelings. He is also attending a touchstones day so that he connect with other children in the area who have been through the same horrendous ordeal. I am so grateful for everything Vicky at touchstones has done for me and my family, and I want to make sure that this charity keeps going to help children like mine get through the loss of a parent. Which is why I am doing this Triathlon in April, so please dig deep people and give as much as you can for this wonderful Charity.
