Rather than wedding presents, we've each chosen a charity that matters to us and would love donations to them.
Charlotte's is the Holloway Neighbourhood Group, where she has been a Trustee since 2011. This charity in north London works hard to improve the lives of the many local people who struggle and to strengthen the community.
It's a brilliant organisation that was set up by local people in 1974 and has since worked with tens of thousands of local people.
But times are hard for the voluntary sector and local need is growing very rapidly.
We run a multi-purpose community centre, for people of all ages; and we provide low cost counselling services and complementary therapies for people with stress related illness and mental health problems.
£10 pays for lunch and a welfare check for an older person.
£30 pays for a drop-in therapy session to help a vulnerable person deal with stress or anxiety.
£100 pays for the WebRoom to stay open for a week so that local people can use the internet.
