I am helping to raise money for George’s Rockstars by abseiling down the side of the Spinnaker Tower in May. George’s Rockstars was set up in memory of 6 year old Gorgeous George. Their mission is to make children in hospitals smile through the power of music therapy.
As a team of abseilers we are supporting our friend Dani, whose son Nuno was diagnosed with a form of Leukaemia called AML. Nuno spent months isolated in hospital, but was able to receive music therapy from George’s rockstars. I’d like to support the charity to continue their work in supporting children who receive in-patient care. Hospitals can be scary places for little people and George’s rockstars provide a fun distraction during their stay.
The amazing videos of Nuno dancing to the music during his treatment would bring joy in the most scariest of times and I will channel my inner Nuno as I dangle over the edge! Those that know me well will know this is very much out of my comfort zone but all in aid of little legend Nuno, and a wonderful charity.
I know times are difficult right now but if you feel you can donate anything at all it would be VERY much appreciated! Thank you. Xx
