Next Friday I will ride on a razor like seat and pedal like mad as I set off over Holme Moss and head out via Chester to the hills of Snowdonia, over the Menai Bridge to Anglesey and the coast at Aberffraw. I am not alone, I will have about 80 friends (well some friends and several more people I don't know yet!) as we look to raise some money in aid of The Isaac Nash Trust (T.I.N.T). Isaac was a young boy from Highburton, aged 12, and attended the same school as my children, who sadly lost his life in a tragic accident last summer. Isaac was on the last day of the family summer holiday in Anglesey, playing with his younger brother in the bay and on the rocks at Aberffraw a place the family had been to many times before. Suddenly the weather changed and the sea became dangerous and despite the very best efforts of Isaac's Dad and Granddad, who at times had hold of Isaac, they struggled with the terrible conditions and unfortunately Isaac was swept to sea and sadly his body has not yet been found. Through this really difficult time Isaac's friends have been amazing and set about on a huge fundraising effort that has involved many people from the community. Isaac's classmates, team mates, friends and family are well under way with a big effort to raise funds for 2 causes. Firstly the kids are raising money to create a skate park within the village which will leave a positive legacy in the name of Isaac and somewhere they can always remember him. Additionally the trust is raising funds for the RNLI in Anglesey who worked so valiantly for weeks looking for Isaac last summer. So I will be setting off on Friday 9th and Saturday the 10th with a stop in Chester to cover the 150 miles to Anglesey and would be really grateful if you could support me through sponsorship towards the 2 great causes in memory of Isaac. The site on the link below has been set up for electronic payments (and please do tick gift aid), anything you can donate will be gratefully received
