My amazing daughter Francesca is my world , from the moment her tiny little frame of 4lb 2oz fought its way into this world. Fran had a hard time entering this world and had to be resuscitated. As she has grown - she has had a few challenges ! Several surgeries for her hearing , she is asthmatic and under referral with Nero-developmental services for Autism Spectrum Disorder but all this doesn't stop us both challenging ourselves on a daily basis.( I am Deaf also with a few other challenging medical conditions)
Cardiff Deaf Centre & Cardiff Deaf Creative Hands have been amazing support for us - so can you help me to say THANKYOU !
Cardiff Deaf Creative Hands has been amazing, to be around others who understand, to have the support that others dont have. Raising awareness of Cardiff Deaf Creative Hands and all the other services at Cardiff Deaf Centre is so important !!
It gives parents hope and it shows the children and families the wonderful role models that allow them to know that they can be anything they want, it gives them an opportunities on lots of levels from just feeling like they fit in to having the support to education with the mini BSL sessions. It is fantastic! It is like having a home to go to where you can be yourself and be proud of your identity. To be free from judgement.
Animals are important to me , but the support of my amazing Chuva has helped in many aspects of our life .Although not fully trained as a hearing dog - Chuva is a highly intelligent dog , she provides that role especially at home when neither Fran or I are wearing our hearing aids but she also provides the support that other assistance dogs do and support we could not be without !!
Chuva & I have been running as a team for sometime now , she is my support, my partner, my guide and above all my friend to support whatever I want to do .Please support Chuva & I as we take on our next challenge and help us to support the amazing plans for the Deaf Community
