We showcase the historic development of yachts, dinghies and powerboats, and the many technological innovations that took place on the Isle of Wight.

We exhibit restored boats and associated artefacts, with records of the part played in their construction and design by companies and people of the Isle of Wight in particular.

The Boat Shed in the Medina Yard shows the importance of preserving our maritime heritage through the meticulous restoration of classical keelboats dinghies and powerboats. We house over 90 vessels telling the impressive story of the Isle of Wight’s maritime history.
