On Friday 7th November, I’ll be taking part in the Big Street Sleep Out in Burnley to raise money for The Light Group, a local charity doing incredible work to support people affected by homelessness, addiction, and hardship.

For one night, I’ll be sleeping outside. no bed, no warmth, just a sleeping bag and the cold ground ,to get a small glimpse of what too many people face every night. It’s not about pretending to understand their struggle, but about standing alongside them and helping to raise funds for the vital support The Light Group provides.

Every penny raised will go directly towards helping people find safety, stability, and hope, whether through a hot meal, emergency shelter, or long-term recovery support. These are real people in our community who deserve a second chance and a brighter future.
