The Collett School is a “very” special school attended by children from all over Hertfordshire and the neighbouring Counties.Children aged 4 to 17 years of age attending the Collett School have many syndromes including Down's and Autism. Many of these children are under Great Ormond street hospital and come from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.
The Collett School is striving to become a flagship for special education by changing the perception of and the way these children learn and grow. Their mission is to support the children to grow in confidence and as much independence as possible allowing them to be part of society and contribute to the community.
There has been an increased need for education of children with complex needs, unfortunately without additional funding. They have had to convert science, art and IT rooms to accommodate the children.
They really need our help and any contribution will be greatly appreciated.
