Meeting to recycle / up-cycle textiles, tea wares and other items that can be given a new lease of life. Hold group sessions in various parts of the county where people can learn new or develop existing creative skills in a friendly supportive atmosphere.
Why they need our serviceGroup members have dealt with a wide variety of life changing issues ie: illness, bereavement, stress, retirement, unemployment and obesity. Either personally or professionally members deal with pressures brought on by lack of time, money, resources and the impact these factors have on themselves, their families and the wider community. Ill health, retirement or changing life circumstances means that the opportunity to meet others in a friendly relaxed creative group gives people space to grow.
Plan and expected resultsUp-cycing activities will give participants a sense of achievement by giving discarded materials a new lease of life. The project will engage and motivate participants from disadvantaged groups i.e. young people, unemployed, retired or recovering, taking them on physical and imaginative journeys through time and landscape providing a manageable template for improved health and wellbeing.
