Through working with adults with learning disabilities, I have come across all that Becky and her team at Bath Gateway 'Out and About' do. Their amazing work is carried out on a regular basis, giving themselves carelessly to the process of adding joy and laughter to the lives of those with disabilities. They do this in many ways, like getting them out into the community, giving them the opportunity to interact with others and make friends for life through different activities such as fun days out and memorable experiences.
I have always wanted to run a half marathon and couldn't think of a better group/registered charity to run it on behalf of. Any donations towards this cause will be much appreciated by myself and those at Out and About.
I will also be running the Bath Half Marathon in memory of my Grandmother, Hannah McLain.
