I signed up to run the Bath Half Marathon both as a personal challenge, and because I wanted to make the most of the opportunity to support a cause I believe in. The charity I am choosing to support is HERA (Her Equality, Rights and Autonomy). HERA aims to fight human trafficking in the UK and Central and Eastern Europe, and help young women who have been victims of violence or exploitation. They hope to achieve this by empowering women and promoting their entrepreneurialism, with the aim of giving them economic autonomy and self-sufficiency.
This young and still relatively little-known charity needs all the help it can get - every little helps, so please give whatever you can to support this great cause!
