Cwtch Tyddewi is a brand new food drop in store, in St Davids, as part of the Cwtch scheme launched by Bayview Stores in Solva. The goal is to open a new Cwtch Drop-In Store at Clwb, at St Davids Rugby Club which will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for anyone who needs it, not just local residents.

CAN YOU HELP US GET IT ESTABLISHED AND KEEP A CONSTANT SUPPLY OF FOOD THERE?

We know the next few months are going to be a tough and trying time for a lot of us, so we hope this site will help just a little bit. There will be food items in there for anyone who is feeling the pinch. Simply go in and take what you need. (The only rule is that you just take what you need, allowing things for others)

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

You can make a donation online through this page and choose to add Gift Aid to top up your gift.  This could be a one-off payment or a regular payment. You can also donate cash in person at Bayview Stores in Solva or at Clwb in St Davids.  All money raised will go towards getting the project established and full of food.

Alternatively you may prefer to donate food supplies directly to the Drop-In Store.  If that's the case, when the store is up and running, just pop over and pop it in. Simples. But please just make sure it is in date and can be stored in an ambient temperature.

Finally, perhaps you can help spread the word to those who might be able to benefit from the Cwtch Drop-In Store or who may like to support it.

If the store becomes too full, some of the food will be donated directly to the Peninsula Food Pod who will ensure it is delivered to residents supported by this local charity.

WHO'S BEHIND THIS PROJECT?

The Cwtch Drop-In Store is the brainchild of Gwyn at Bayview Stores, who is working with St Davids City Council, EcoDewi, the Peninsula Community Pod and Clwb, who are kindly hosting the site in St Davids. Other local organisations will also hopefully get involved to help supply local produce. The goal is to help reduce food waste in the peninsula too.

If you aren't in Solva or St Davids and like the idea of setting up a Cwtch Drop-In Store, Gwyn at Bayview Stores would love to chat to you, so get in contact: info@bayviewstores.co.uk
