Covid has had a very significant and negative impact on unpaid carers of all ages in Wales. For many carers it has meant a struggle to access food and medicines and it has become harder to pay for the basics which support people in their caring role. Many carers have told Carers Trust Wales that they have been ‘catapulted’ into a 24/7 caring role.

The staff of Jehu are coming together to take part in one big bike ride (on road and on static bikes!) throughout the whole of May, to raise as much money for carers in Wales. The aim is to cycle 7544 km, which is roughly the number of young carers identified in Wales.

Anyone can be a carer and 3 in 5 of us at one point in our lives will be caring for a family member or friend.
