In April we cycled from Lands' End to John O' Groats. Seven local business people rode 937 miles in 10 days raising over £100k to set up local apprenticeships. Local schools took part in the challenge too with children taking part in sponsored relays on static bakes to ride 937 miles in a day. With this success behind us we're planning to continue the work to help Calderdale's young men and women get valuable work experience that will set them on the road to future success and fulfillment.

Why they need our service

Steve Duncan, leader of the pedal pushing team said; 'There's still work to be done. There are too many young people in Calderdale facing a future without hope and we want to change that. That's why the work goes on, the School Challenges are continuing, we will keep cycling for a cause that's really worth the effort. You can help us by making a donation to help get more young people a really great future'.

Plan and expected results

Enough money has been raised for 25 apprenticeships and 16 young people have already started. its an amazing step forward but we want to do even more. We will be announcing exciting plans for the ride ahead in 2013 and 14. There are still over 2000 young people in Calderdale who need our help to a better future. you can help by making a donation or if you'd like to be more involved contact emma@cffc.co.uk
