I lt is that time of year again where I get vocal on social media, and collect Monday for a good cause. If you're here, then you've found it! Thanks for coming!The donation page is very much still a work in progress.
This year, there's a lot going on. I've decided to raise money for @genderedintelligence - trans rights in this country are actively backsliding, and I want to raise money where it can be used to help people get the support and care that need.
Things are bad all over for trans folks, not just here. Fans of drag who may have heard about the "drag bans" over the pond in the USA should recognise that it's not about drag - it's about criminalising trans presentatpresentat ionions and presence. It's honestly scary.
When are providers fail, our community needs to care for each other. That is what Gendered Intelligence do best. They'll put donations to good use where they're needed.
That said, there is an ongoing cost of living crisis, so I'll be operating in the "fell out" model. I'll be asking for donations, but please don't donate more than you can afford. The measure here is, pick an amount of money that, if it fell out of your pocket, you wouldn't miss. That's a sliding scale for most people, depending on circumstances, location, or even time of month.
I don't know what I'm going to talk about this month. I don't have any big looks planned. But I'm going to not shut up about being unabashedly queer all through June. Deal with it x
