On 31st May to 4th June 2012 a group of intrepid walkers took on the Dales Way: over 84 miles through valleys, over hills and along rivers. Starting at Lake Windermere the walkers started their journey home, walking up to 17 miles a day towards the finish line in Ilkley. Through generous donations and sponsorship, the walk raised over £3000 for Tidal, securing our future for another year. Can you help us this year?
Why they need our serviceTidal works to support, coordinate and grow the global justice movement of Leeds. We do this in all sorts of ways - from bringing together all local events in one easy to read calender to helping coordinate massive collaborative campaigns. We think that activists in Leeds are amazing and we are here to help them be even more awe-inspiring. But do to do this we need funding! That's why we organised this walk - to help raise money for Tidal as well as bringing people together.
Plan and expected resultsWith the kind help of all the walkers, their friends and families and wonderful supporters, we raised over £3000 through the Dales Way Tidal Trail. This is the gap between our current income for this year and what we need to carry on. Funding pots for making a massive global justice movement in Leeds are very few and far between, so we really rely on our regular donors as well as sponsorship opportunities such as this to keep going. Thank you for your support :)
