On 11th October 2018 I embark on the physical and mental challenge of my lifetime. I will complete 2 marathons in 2 days in the Saharan Desert.
My companions and I will travel to Morocco and set up camp in the shadows of Mount Kissane. From there we follow the Draa Valley south and after 2 days and 52 grueling miles, will cross the finishing line at the stunning Nakhla Dunes near Zagora on the edge of the Sahara Desert.
Taking this on will challenge me physically and mentally and completing it will give me an incredible sense of achievement and pride.
More importantly, it is to raise both awareness and money for the charity I work for. The challenges faced by the majority of service users of POW Nottingham are far more daunting than anything I will be taking on.
I am therefore launching a Pound for POW and ask everyone who supports our work to pledge just one pound towards this challenge.
