On Saturday 11th May, we were supposed to be taking part in a 5k Colour Obstacle Rush to raise money for Survivor's Network, after completing the NHS Couch to 5k programme in preparation. However we received an email less than a week prior to the event to say that it had been cancelled, with no real explanation, rescheduled date or offer of a refund.

To say we were disappointed is an understatement, but we have been so touched by everyone's support and generosity and are determined to hit our goal for Survivor's Network, so we have come up with an alternative - 200 miles in May.

We have from 11th until the 31st May to rack up 200 miles between us, by either walking or running, outside or on the spot. Why 200 miles? Well, when looking into alternatives we thought about walking the South Downs Way which is 100 miles, but with little preparation time and a baby that was going to be impossible, so this is the challenge we are taking on - 200 miles between us in exactly 3 weeks - arguably more difficult than and definitely less fun than a 5k Colour Obstacle Rush!

We'll be logging everything on Strava and whoever racks up the most miles towards the total will get bragging rights for eternity - we are both extremely competitive!

Thank you so, so much for your support and donations - we are so grateful and every penny goes towards facilitating the indispensable work of Survivor's Network.

LET'S GO!
