I am doing ANOTHER Great North Run, and this year wanting to support a small local charity, Hug in a Bag.
For many years a good friend of mine, Mike, has volunteered and done a whole load of work with Hug in a Bag. That's why I know about them and decided to raise money for the charity. The thing that Hug in a Bag does is help make women diagnosed with breast cancer understand what is going on and, most importantly, in my view, feel better about themselves. They provide thoughtfully curated pamper bags or suitable gifts (including options for men) to bring comfort. Nurses distribute these bags at a chosen moment during the treatment cycle, ensuring recipients receive the Hug in a Bag at the most opportune time. They are a tiny charity that relies on donations and many volunteers, like Mike. Therefore, please spare some money and help someone receive one of their hugs in a bag. The target is set at £180 as that will provide three Hug in a Bags.
