One stop shop every Friday between 12 noon and 3pm where BSL interpreters can provide support and help with phonecalls and letters and signposting to other services. Organised in collaboration with Rotherham Deaf Futures there is also a cafe and other social activities.
Why they need our serviceBritish Sign Language users often cannot understand letters in English or able to make phone calls. Misunderstanding and inability to respond to official letters received or wanting to do things in the hearing world can cause distress and anxiety.
Plan and expected resultsEvery week over 20 BSL users helped with queries and signposting. The demand is growing.
