Hey,
Debbie and Jodie are at it again
Both overaware of the lack of physical help we can offer
Yet knowing deep within that we want to help.
Living in a world full of need,
What we need is for these lifeline charities to succeed.
Smartmove go over and above,
Helping the people of Calderdale, showing them love.
Giving help when people are in dire need of the basics
Then later on when all is in place, when one is settled in a home
They offer so much more. Classes in keeping healthy,
Growing your own food, reading and writing
Along with a wide variety of other life affirming classes.
Smartmove offer so much more.
We don't have much spare money or time to help on a day to day basis
But if by sleeping as the vulnerable sleep,
In the cold on the hard stone ground for one night
we can raise some money, some much needed funds
For this amazing charity in the heart of our community
Then that is what we will do.
It wont be fun and it wont be pleasant
But life is not always a bed of roses.
Smartmove are hosting a fundraising event at The Shay stadium on Friday the 13th November. We will be joining them, sleeping on the terraces for one night.
With Gift Aid, a one-time donation of £10 made through Localgiving during Grow Your Tenner will generate £21.67*, so make sure you spread the word and start growing those tenners!
