Renovated rooms upstairs at The Bircham Centre are currently being prepared for the Reepham Archive, a working collection of local memorabilia and historical artefacts. The public will be able to enjoy the exhibitions. Artefacts and displays will be collected by local donation and will provide a historical account of Reepham's history as a market town.
Why they need our serviceReepham dates back to the 13th century and is full of local history. By having an archive in The Bircham Centre, which will be open to the public, we will further make the building available for use by local people. Artefacts and displays will be collected by local donation and will provide a historical account of Reepham's history as a market town.
Plan and expected resultsEventually, we will have a range of displays exhibiting local memorabilia, such as bill headers, advertising, shop goods, photographs and other paraphernalia clearly displayed and captioned. These will be housed in rooms decorated in period style and accessible to the public.
