Life in this capitalist set up of a world can be a rocky road and unfortunately at the saddest of times monetary issues often overwhelm times that should be filled with love and more love. This kind of pressure can take away the a family's ability to truly celebrate the life of their most treasured in a dignified and peaceful loving way.
The Riff Raff Society has received an application for funding to help this family do exactly that. Daughter Jackie has managed to pool just over £2000 to put towards a potential bill of £3500 for a funeral but impending shortfall alongside watching her mum Mary getting more and more poorly has taken a heavy toll and Jackie is currently off work with stress.
Mary is a mother of 2 and has been a wonderful Nan of 5 and a Great Nan of 6. For the last 13 years she has lived alone since her hubby passed away she has looked after everybody else ever since.
Mary started to suffer with a bad back and drastic weight loss until she was diagnosed with non primary cancer within 3 wks of diagnosis and she is deteriorating rapidly.
The family have had to sell most of her belongings as she has no savings and no insurance. To make sure she gets a proper tribute of a funeral.
The speed with which this situation has developed has hit Jackie and the family for six and they are reaching out for help.
Thank-you for any kind donations 💚🙏
