We are Disability Peterborough and we have run the Shopmobility Project on floor 11 of the Queensgate car park for the past 7 years. The project has been running since Queensgate opened in 1982 and has been a valued service, the first of it's kind.
We are raising funds to upgrade our tired fleet of mobility scooters and wheelchairs. The service is used by many physically disabled people, allowing them access to the local shops and services in Peterborough city centre.
We are developing our Long Term Hire service, where we hire wheelchairs with leg extensions to those individuals who have a broken bone or surgery on their leg, and have limited mobility or are wearing a cast.
We are very appreciative for any donation made to this project, where the day-to-day running is all all by volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, then please email info@disabilitypeterborough.org or call 01733 265551.
