In October, I will be running the London Marathon. My goal is to raise £105 for the community charity Bristol Autism Support. This will provide venue hire plus tea, coffee and biscuits for 3 hour-long meetings for the group.

I would also like to use this opportunity to #dosomethinggood and encourage all visiting my page to post a pledge. My aim is to the get 20 pledges from 20 individuals. These pledges can take any way shape or form, as long as they have a positive impact on you or those around you. Some example pledges include:
  • Donate unwanted clothes, books, and games to a local charity shop before the end of this month.
  • Make 10x journeys by using public transport instead of driving to reduce your emissions.
  • Go a full week without any meat or dairy containing products.
Check out this webpage for some more ideas. I have pledged to run 5 miles in under 38 minutes for every week up to and including the marathon, otherwise I'll donate £10 to a charity of my choice.

Fun fact - cycling whilst on a meat-based diet can have a larger carbon impact on our planet than driving.
