In May, a group of us are set to abseil down the side of the Spinnaker tower. This drop to the rock is a challenge to us all and a hope to raise money for George’s rockstars charity; whose mission is to make children in hospital smile through the power of music therapy.
Our good friend Dani sadly spent months in hospital with her 8 month old baby Nuno who was diagnosed with a form of leukaemia, AML. He is now thankfully in remission and home but George’s rockstars made such a personal difference to their long isolation days on the cancer wards that we’d like to contribute something so they can continue their amazing work.
Nuno was often not allowed to leave his room because of his treatment but George’s rockstars were allowed in. And the videos of him dancing along and the obvious change in his mood and happiness during these moments was incredibly joy filled and priceless. Dani said she was supported by so many wonderful charities through their stay but George’s made the biggest difference personally to Nuno.
I appreciate times are tough at the moment but I’ll be channeling my inner Nuno as I step over that edge and any support would be hugely appreciated. Thank you!
