Ely Cathedral Business Group has committed itself to raising £1000 for the Ely Foodbank for 2018/2019.
Over 1 million are helped by Foodbanks in Britain each year - over 200,000 of them children and over 2000 resident in Ely - our neighbours - in such desperate poverty that they were not able to feed themselves.
Ely Cathedral Business Group believes that there is a strong correlation between healthy business and the wellbeing of our community, and this fundraising is one way that business people are able to support the community.
This year we have concentrated on promoting good business despite our tough and uncertain economic times. John Bird of the Big Issue championed our commitment to The Trussell Truss at our flagship Celebration of Business event at the Cathedral earlier in the year, and we're delighted to have nearly met our target of £1000

About Celebration of Business 2019
The biggest and grandest business fair in the region. Over 100 business exhibition places are available for free of charge. In return we ask that delegates donate to our designated charity the Ely Foodbank. There is more to business than profit. Wealth creation business can, and should, be a force for good.
