Hello,
As you might know, I start a new course next week with an organisation called Edventure. I am moving back to England but to a new area: Frome, in Somerset, for a period of ten weeks.
The purpose of the course is to learn how to start a social enterprise. That is, to create an entreprise or organisation with a moral and ethical background, often with the aim of improving a social or environmental situation.
The course is slightly different from others as you learn by doing. This idea of this years course is to create and sell 'tiny houses' as a solution to the housing crisis in England, especially for young adults between the age of 20 to 35. The revenues generated by the sales goes back to Edventure, which enables the organisation to run courses for free and survive.
The course also differs from the norm as it is completely free, providing equal opportunity for anyone to attend. However, one condition to attend is to fundraise. To recreate a real situation, I must collect a sum which will help finance the development of the project.
That is why I am writing to you, asking for a small donation. In exchange I can offer you a yoga class, prepare a dinner, bake a cake, work in the garden or help with household work. You decide! After donating you can email me and claim your gift!
