I have decided to run the Scottish 10k in September and am hoping to raise money for the play therapy base.
The base provides a therapeutic service to children aged 3 to 14. Children use play to explore things they find hard or that are worrying them and play therapy is a special way of allowing them to do so. The base works in partnership with parents/carers and referrers to support each child and put them at the centre. The incredible work these professionals are able to do means that children can learn about the world around them and understand their difficulties in a safe environment which allows them to feel more confident when they occur in day to day scenarios, they can feel more positive about themselves, the people and environment around them.
