A little bit about Collett School -
We are an extraordinary school of fantastic children and wonderful adults who love 'difference' and seek to 'thrive in life'. Collett is a happy Special Needs School as a result of the respectful relationships within our wide community who are supported to see the abilities in disability.
This year I am running (I use the term running loosely!) 3 marathons to raise money for an amazing school.
I am inspired everyday by the pupils at Collett School and how hard they work to achieve and thrive in life! I'm raising money to help towards some of the current enrichment projects for the pupils.
If you are able to sponsor me, however big or small a donation it will be gratefully received and appreciated!
Update - Brighton Marathon completed on a beautiful but hot day! It took me 5hrs 14mins and 1second and I had to take some walking breaks and take advantage of the sprinklers that were set up on route to stay cool!
Really looking forward to my first London Marathon on the 23rd April.
Update - London Marathon, I have always wanted to run the London Marathon. The support of the crowds along the course was as amazing as I had imagined it would be! I did struggle with tired legs on the day and a few blisters, but going a bit slower meant I could take in the fantastic atmosphere for longer!
Final update - Edinburgh Marathon was another hot one! Advertised as a fast and flat route. In my case I found it neither of those! I certainly wasn't fast and I didn't find it very flat either!! but I finished it took me 5hrs and 48mins to complete. I am very pleased to have completed my challenge and raise money for a wonderful school. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and supported me. THANK YOU!
