Believe it or not but I am doing a skydivel!!! And to encourage me to make the leap (and I need all the encouragement I can get), I want to raise some money for charity! I can't quite believe I am going to do this, but as it's my Christmas present from Paul, and apparently I once said I wanted to do it (reminder to self - my husband listens and remembers more than I think he does!), the plan is to jump out of a plane, from 15,000 feet (only the highest skydive in the country), on April 12th. I am pretty terrified about the prospect of a skydive (to put it mildly) although everyone I know who has done one (all of 2 people) have told me it's incredible! Even so, I need more motivation and given that it's not advisable to drink before jumping, I thought that raising some money would give me the extra incentive I need. In August last year, two very dear friends of ours, Adam and Zoe Nash lost their 12 year old son Isaac in a tragic accident on the coast of Aberffraw, Anglesey. In his memory, friends and family are raising money to build a skate and scooter park on the local Rec in Highburton. Isaac loved a challenge, and so it seems fitting that this terrifying feat I'm scheduled to do, raises a contribution. For more information about Isaac and The Isaac Nash Trust, see www.theisaacnashtrust.co.uk. All donations, small to big are very much appreciated. The skydive is already paid for so every penny we raise will go towards this fantastic cause.
