The project was initially to establish an U16's football team at Austrey Rangers FC and then once established to compete in the Midland Junior Premier League. The side competed in the 36 team leage and finished 30th overall.

The project was needed to establish sports participation in rural area's to offer opportunities to young people around Warwickshire / Staffordshire area in competing at a high standard of football.

The first aim of the project was to create an established U16's team to compete in Midland Junior Premier League. Once established in the league the aim was to create opportunities for 16 young people to reach a standard and compete for the team. The aim was to finish the 1st season in a 29th+ position.
