Do you want to join us in making a difference? We are walking the welsh three peaks on August 27th to raise money in aid of Feeding Coventry, and every donation will help. Our challenge will see us hike over 27km and climb over 7500 feet to summit 3 of wales' most challenging peaks. We have our Shift Leader Leroy, Volunteer Ryan, Support Worker JB, and Assistant Manager Elliot taking part, and we all want to thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
Feeding Coventry is a small charity with a big ambition: to create a food-resilient city in Coventry where nobody goes hungry. We’re committed to working with partners and local communities to tackle the root causes of hunger, build food security, provide low-cost food to vulnerable groups and support people in crisis.
We have given out over 15,000 food parcels since 2020 and have supported over 1,250 families within one of the most deprived wards in Coventry. We also run a summer holiday programme where we provide activities and nutritious meals for kids throughout Coventry on free school meals.
We distribute surplus food from supermarkets to members of our community who need it most. Our bags cost our members £5.00 and typically contain £25.00-£30.00 worth of food. We also offer every member 1-2-1 support to help them out of any challenging situations they have fallen into, in the hope that we can support them out of food poverty.
All received donations will go directly to feeding Coventry to help stock the supermarket, which has become challenging lately with the rising cost of food.
Thank you for being so supportive.
