So over the next month all 5 of us are going to walk and walk; and collectively aim to achieve a 50 mile distance. We want to raise money for Keynsham Mencap who have supported local people with a learning disability to enjoy physically distanced fun and social activities.
COVID-19 has had such a huge impact on all of us but for our friends at Keynsham Mencap and for all people with a learning disability and their families this has been a particularly tough time. Despite club closures Keynsham Mencap made a commitment early on in lockdown to reinvent itself and continue to help its members.
As the restrictions continue it is not clear when it will be safe to open up all the clubs again and these guys still need help and support; the only way this can continue is to raise money that will pay to keep the COVID safe (virtual) activities going, this way when clubs are open there will still be money available so they can go back to enjoying all the really fun stuff just like what is shown in the video.
