Team Fundraisers
A 'return to base' bike ride of over 350 miles starting in the French Capital and following, in part, the classic Avenue Verte route , through Gisors, to Dieppe, overnight ferry to Newhaven and then a (swing swang) cycle to London. An overnight stop in the East End. A Sunday ride back to MKRUFC where a reception committee will be there to receive us in all our our splendour.
We have raised funds for Willen Hospice, Cardiac Risk in the Young and of course MKRUFC. As of Monday 20th May 2024, with gift aid we have raised close to £65,000 and expect to push this over £70,000 over the next few days. A very special thank you to all generous donors, sponsors and support crew for making this amazing fund raising event possible.
With over 13,000 feet of climbing throughout the 4 days, there were many tears, sore legs and soul searching, but in the end, all the 50 riders gave their absolute 100% to complete the ride. Many friendships were made along with the way, many memorable moments created and of course many thousands of £s raised for 3 much deserving charities. The incredible team spirit shown by all riders and support crew was amazing ensuring everyone was able to complete the ride on Day 4.
