The Tin Man - Manchester Marathon Creak for Kayden

Well this time last year i was preparing for the Manchester Marathon backwards. as Michael Jackson with my mate Bubbles the Monkey. It was a massive challenge i set myself and raising alot of money for Michaela Fletcher that day was a magic feeling. A year on I have have toiled with a few crazy idea's - Sideways, Rolly Polly's and Sufi- whirling and I've tried them all out after a few sherberts but it was all nonsense that in all honesty may well have got me institutionalised once and for all. So I am letting the lad in a diving suit and flippers take the glory this year and I am just going to celebrate my state of middle agedness and do the whole marathon with no training (Been too busy to even get on a treadmill once) I am sacraficing my body to raise money for Kayden Simpson of Davyhulme who has cerebral palsy and has applied for £6000 of funding from the society to contribute to upping his comfort in and around his home. The other reason I am not doing Rolly Polly's is because i want to support a wonderful lady who has accepted the charity's challenge to also do this for Kayden but even more for herself after one of her toughest years on planet earth. So Helen Murphy I salute you as I do the other brave members of Team Riff Raff this year. This year I want to spend the whole race with the other Riff Raffians including Helen, Chrystal & Partner Jason (Madison's folks), Tansy and Pricey We are all going 'Wizard of Oz' styley this year as a celebration of everything the friendship of the Lion, the Scarecrow, the tin man and Dorothy stand for Please Support me, us and ultimately Kayden xxxx
