For my beautiful friend Hayley

In April 2018 with a gentle arm twisting and motivational speech from my friend Kate I’d signed up for the Manchester Marathon in 2019! My motivation to pass the finish line grew recently from the Riff Raff Society. In July 2017 Hayley tragically lost her partner Rob. As Hayley battled to get on with life and recovery physically and mentally from the loss she joined solemothers. Whilst running Hayley felt a strange pressure in her stomach and in 2018 was diagnosed with cancer. Following surgery Hayley has recovered well and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Hayley is winning this battle and has had great support from friends, family and her kids Adam and Chloe who have showered her with love and never complained about not always being able to be with Mummy. The Riff Raff Society decided the best action would be to flip some of that unconditional love back on her and the children and give her the chance to take her children to Lapland at Christmas 2019.
