We are a team of staff from Bradford Council taking part in the Bradford Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday 6 May.
Together we will brave the treacherous waters of the River Aire at Saltaire, paddling furiously yet methodically to the beat of a lone drum, giving our all to get our dragon boat to the finish line first!
Of course we are not just doing this for the fun of it!!! No, no, no, we are putting ourselves through this dangerous yet exhilarating test, to try to persuade you to part with some hard earned cash to help young people experiencing tough times.
We are raising money for the Bradford Lord Mayor’s Appeal, which this year is supporting Young Minds, the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people.
The charity does some fantastic work including providing counselling, giving advice to young people to help them feel better about themselves, and also leading the field in providing professional training for mental health practitioners. Your donation will help young people feel happier and healthier in their lives.
Please help us reach our target of £1000.00 Every penny counts and we really appreciate your support!
