In a phase of "new year, new me" madness, I signed up for to be in a relay team for London's Big Half in March and to run the whole of Hackney Half in May, all in aid of KEEN London.
KEEN London is a registered charity that runs free weekly sports and recreation sessions for children and young adults with learning, behavioural and physical disabilities - our athletes. Taking part in sports and recreational activities is vital for our athletes' physical development and co-ordination. It also helps develop social skills and encourages teamwork.
These sessions are offered to the families at no cost and give them a much needed break while the children get to have some fun. Donating will allow this to continue and help grow KEEN allowing them to help more families and children.
As someone who has volunteered with them almost every Sunday for over a year and a half, I cannot begin to express how amazing their impact is. The service they provide is truly unique in London and makes a huge amount of difference to the lives of these children and their families.
As a very small charity every penny counts, so please donate no matter how big or small.
Also I hate running so I'm not just doing this for fun... you can follow my struggle to train here if you want https://www.strava.com/athletes/26277213
