Friendsgiving 2018

One of my favourite traditions is that of Friendsgiving. As with most holiday celebrations, the food is a main focal point. However, did you know that in the UK it is estimated that thirteen million people live below the poverty line, with hundreds of thousands, if not millions, going hungry every day? This is never OK. Especially around the holidays when many of us have more food to eat than we know what to do with, it is both a responsibility and privilege to be able to help.

So this holiday season, I invite you to partake in a different kind of Friendsgiving. Up until Christmas, I will be collecting non-perishable foods for Kingston Foodbank, who provide three days' nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis.
