The Children's Festival is an annual event which takes place in the summer in the centre of town. Increasingly run by young people, the event is part of our summer project and has a theme such as accessibility or diversity. We offer around 40 different activities including crafts, music, storytelling, adventure sports, drama and forest school, with the fun being open to all ages. Children can try their hand at new activities, be entertained by local artists and perform for the crowd!

The Children's Festival offers free activities and entertainment for all local families, giving equality of opportunity for those who struggle to afford the creative activities that Frome offers. The event is as accessible as possible ensuring that children with additional needs can benefit and enjoy the day. As always, this project works to bring families together, learn new skills, have fun and develop their creative side. The event is increasingly designed together with young people and gives them the opportunity to learn valuable event management and life skills.

Our aim is to ensure that all children, irrespective of their background and abilities, have access to quality activities and entertainment. This will support the development of rounded individuals who have tried varied life experiences. We aim to support the development of a stronger and more connected community where families from different backgrounds can understand and respect each other.
