Fundraising for a Community Plant Nursery

This September I will be joining Edventure (www.edventurefrome.org) on their Start-Up course to help launch a community plant nursery  at The Walled Garden at Mells. We will be tackling both social & environmental issues locally by transforming an underused plant nursery into a thriving community project. 

I think that by the simple act of growing plants and working in a garden, we are able to regain a sense of community, inclusion and action. I often find the social and environmental upheaval of the world around me overwhelming, a feeling I think I share with many many people. Solutions such as this, of bringing people together and connecting to the natural world, make me feel a bit less stressed out! It helps me feel hopefull of the world we could create.
