In 2015 Plumtree CC will celebrate its bicentennial. Many players have graced the club over the years and enjoyed its successes. However, the reality is that less people are participating in cricket both locally and nationally. This is something we are keen to change.
We are proud at the club of the opportunity that is given to players of all abilities. With a proposed new second ground next to the existing PCG, we are building for the future generations. It is important that the bicentennial helps focus the direction we are heading and shapes the future of the club. We want more young players playing and enjoying cricket. We want to provide the best facilities for disabled cricketers. The refurbishment of the pavilion already allows better facilities for disabled players and spectators. Exciting times, but everything comes at a cost.
The fundraising year has been kickstarted by the successful ascent on Mount Kilimanjaro In December 2014 by four club members. With many other events organised, the year has the potential to be one of the most successful in the history of the club, both on and off the field.
Thank you for reading our fundraising page. No amount of sponsorship is too little. We want to see as many people as possible enjoy cricket at Plumtree.
