I have challenged myself to take part in a bike ride from Highburton in Huddersfield to Aberffraw, Anglesey on the 8/9 May 2015. A total of 150 miles over the two days.
The aim of the ride is to raise as much money as possible for The Isaac Nash Trust as well as being a great personal challenge to me. For those of you who know me well I have not always been the most active in the world so I have already dedicated myself to months of gruelling training!
Isaac was a remarkable and inspiring boy of just 12, in 2014 he was taken by the sea in North Wales. The impact on his home community in Yorkshire and Anglesey, North Wales has been devastating, it has however sparked positive action and fundraising through The Isaac Nash Trust for both the RNLI and a local skatepark.
The Isaac Nash Trust has been set up to create scooter facilities for young people in the area in memory of Isaac.
It aims to create a skate/scooter park with an exciting feel and cutting edge facilities for all to enjoy. It will also be landscaped and family friendly.
There are no local scooter facilities so this project will provide a great opportunity for people to get out on their scooters and enjoy exercise close to home.
Once completed this will be a lasting tribute to Isaac, who was a very keen scooter and skateboarder and something that all his mates and other young people will be able to use and enjoy for a long time to come.
If anyone is free to meet me at the end to give me a full body massage I would be eternally grateful. Dig deep folks! Thank you x
