After the missed starts of 2020 and 2021 I've signed up for my 4th MKRUFC Ring of Fire cycling challenge in May 2022. Over 500 miles from Bordeaux in France.

The ride heads south-west to Mimizan on the coast, via the back roads. Down the coast and inland to the rugby town of Dax, for our first overnight stop. Day two is Dax-Mont-de-Marsan and on to Condom, over the bumps of the Landes-Chalosse region. Day three is Condom-Aiguillon-Cahors. Day four is Cahors, back towards the rugby epicentre that is Monflanquin and on to Bergerac. Last day is the return to Bordeaux via Creon and the popular Voie Verte...and over the bridge to Begles. Just shy of 500 miles on the map...so with the a few 'swing-swang' adjustments, we will top 500 miles. Our hardest Challenge to date!

In 2022 we have joined forces with our amazing local charity Willen Hospice, so all funds raised will be shared by MKRUFC to develop our great sport in the region and Willen Hospice. All donations go to to charities NOT to pay for the ride.

With over 40 'non cyclists' taking part in 2022, this will be a real test of team work and stamina. Training has already started on cold wintery mornings in February with regular 55 mile group rides, feel free to come and join us.

If you feel this is a worthwhile cause and of course a noteworthy challenge, I would be extremely grateful of any donations received. All funds raised through this page including any gift aid go to Willen Hospice and Milton Keynes Rugby Club which is a registered Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) and therefore benefits from charitable gift aiding status. All costs for the trip are paid by external sponsors and donors so every penny raised goes to the. Many thanks for your support.
