I'm joining the Time To Transform Project by starting my own emotional wellbeing challenge. The aim is to make small changes and do something each day that gives you a boost which helps to build your emotional resilience and cope better when things are difficult.
I have decided being physically active is something which is currently missing from my life. For a few years I was pretty active and attended lots of different fitness classes or clubs. I enjoyed the social aspect and the head space it gave to me. However, over the past 10 months I have lost that and have noticed the effect it has had on my mental health (especially my anxiety), motivation, my routine, weight, self-esteem, ability to relax, energy levels, and physical health.
So with that in mind I’ve decided to do some form of physical activity every day. The activity has to either raise my heart beat, body temperature, improve my fitness or get me out of breath. As I like to keep fit in a variety of ways, I will take part in activities that either have a social aspect, I enjoy it and feel challenged (but not too challenging! I’m not going to suddenly run a marathon or sign up to tough mudder! Baby steps!).
In the process of building my own emotional wellbeing and emotional resilience I want to make a difference to others, especially those young people who need that extra support. That's why I've set up a fundraising page, so I can help Transform give the vital support to vulnerable young people and young people with learning disabilities.
Please sponsor me to keep me motivated to get moving every single day for 30 days!
