Depression and Anxiety have been part of my life since I was a small child.
The last 18 months have been the most traumatic and difficult of my life. Some how, I have found the strength to hang on. The love and support of my family and friends as well as a great GP and a fab psychotherapist have helped so much.
I'm now on the very long twisty journey back to a resemblance of myself. I'm not out of the woods yet, but there is a distinct small spark of light in the darkness.
A charity called the Blurt Foundation have been a fantastic help and do some great work to breakdown the stigma that surrounds mental illness.
I've discovered that exercise helps a lot to keep my Black Dog at bay so I have entered a race as motivation to Keep On Buggering On. My lovely eldest nephew is running (staggering?) with me so I don't get lost!
The Eastnor Castle Magnificent 7 in Herefordshire, is the chosen date with destiny. If you could spare a quid or two please to help Blurt help others like me, it would be deeply appreciated.
Fingers tightly crossed for no training injuries!
Thank you.
Lots of love
